What To Do When Somebody Dies (Without You)

Image result for without you tv showEllie is a young, happily married woman whose husband dies suddenly, and under mysterious circumstances, in a car crash - with another woman at his side. At least to Ellie, the situation is uncharacteristic and confusing, but her friends don't give it that much thought. Fueled by her conviction that something wasn't right about his death, and going through the roller coaster of "I'm-crazy-I'm-not-crazy-I'm-crazy", Ellie goes on a path of discovery to find out what happened that night, and with whom.

If you like Anna Friel, watch the show. If you like Marc Warren's acting, give it a go. If you're not tired yet of dead-husbands-who-linger-around type of movies, thread-thin plots and unrealistic actions, this is a movie for you. On the other hand, it is hard to say what we would do in a similar situation or react if our friends would try to help us move on before we were ready to accept that we were left behind.

Even though some of the actions of friends, of Ellie (Anna Friel), and of others in the movie, are questionable at best and will leave you scratching your head in surprise or disapproval, you may still want to watch it. Even if it is only to know what not to do (which I can't tell you without giving away half the movie) if you were ever in a situation like this.

What To Do When Someone Dies is a 2009 novel by Nicci French. It was dramatized for television as a three-part series, Without You, in 2011. The show currently runs on Netflix and Amazon Prime.
